Profile Questions
Profile questions are really useful, not only to get to know the member but get to know what the group needs. A question I always include "How did you find this group? What kind of events are you looking for?"
This answers two questions of my own; where do I get my best advertising and what kind of events I should plan. Crystal of Spokane Mommy Meet n Greets Here a tip: MU only allows a certain number of questions, however, if you don't use all the allowed space you can add 'add on questions' for example
Tell us about your kids (name, gender, age). What your biggest challenge at being a mom so far?
his prompts members to make their profiles more interesting and filled.
You can also ask some funky questions; if you were bubble gum what flavor would you be and why? If you were the chicken, why would you cross the road? Have you ever sky dived? snorkeling? won a contest?,etc.......this kind of gives a funny spunk to the group, and who knows may be you will find a mom that sky dived before?
Rachel from mom's sanity says:
"I added the one about passes because there are so many moms in this area with passes. We are in Tampa and have a zoo, an aquarium, a kids museum, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and Disney, Sea World, Epcot, Universal are all about 30 - 40 minutes away."
Help! I filled out the profile questions but no ones answering them when they join! This is a common problem for organizers. If a member doesn't really take the time to fill out a simple profile, then they may not actually have the motivation it takes to go the events and meet other members. Because of this, many organizers set their joining settings to 'approval' or 'invitation' only. This way you can email them to finish it before they are allowed to join.
When doing the invitation, a potential member will email the organizer. The organizer will send them the invite code and tell them they need to fill out their profile. When a member on a pending status does not fill out a profile on the approval status, they can be declined.
