Who should join the Meetup Summit?
You must be an Organizer or an Assistant Organizer to be in this group.Who is this group especially for?
For those that have more than one Assistant Organizer. But, we won?t hold it against you if you don?t have any :-)How Often does this group meetup?
Our group is a little different than most Meetup groups. Instead of having face to face Meetups, we offer a ?Board Room? located on our message board, for you and your Assistant Organizers.Why is this group private?
Rather than hanging out your laundry out for all the world to see you can do it here privately. It?s not 100% private, Organizers and Assistant Organizers will see your discussions, but your members won?t.Hummm, I?m still not convinced.
It is a great place to come and meet with your ?staff? on issues that come up and you don?t want to email back and forth or physically meet somewhere. Consider the time you will save for you and your group and get problems resolved quickly!How do I get a Board Room started?
1) Go to the Message Board.2) Click on ?Start a new discussion?
3) In the subject area, type in ?Board Room of {your group}?.
4) In the message area, type in a small welcome message for your group if you like.
5) Click ?submit? and your done!
A tip on using your Board Room
When you want to call a ?Board Meetup?, email your Assistant Organizers the link to your Summit Board Room. Make sure to start the discussion before they get there.When I?m not using my Board Room, what else do you offer?
All kinds of advice on organizing and support from other Organizers and Assistant Organizers going through the same problems as you! Suggested links to Meetups? Organizer Center and their ?Discuss Meetup? boards. If you are just fed up, go to the ?Scream Room?!
